Dr. Lucas Bryant is a Board Certified and Fellowship Trained Facial Plastic Surgeon. His practice focuses on cosmetic and reconstructive surgical and non-surgical treatments of the face, eyes, nose, and neck. He sees patients in Lebanon and Gallatin and serves the greater Nashville area.
Lucas Bryant, M.D. relocated his practice from Park Avenue in Manhattan, New York to the Nashville, Tennessee area. Honesty and excellence are the cornerstones of REFINE | Facial Plastic Surgery and Aesthetics™. His patient’s describe him as an “excellent surgeon with a kind heart”. REFINE is based on the principles of offering patients the most advanced, non-surgical and minimally invasive surgical facial rejuvenation procedures available today. All patients receive private consultations. During the consultation, customized treatment plans are carefully crafted to meet individual needs and goals. Dr. Bryant loves giving patients natural results while still getting that “wow” feeling of a natural, but impressive change.
Dr. Bryant serves as a delegate partner and medical advisor for Haute Beauty, a division of the luxury lifestyle brand Haute Living. He is an active member of the American Academy of Head and Neck Surgery (AA0-HNS) and the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) and currently serves as director of REFINE | Facial Plastic Surgery and Aesthetics™. Furthermore, he offers his time as the designated facial plastic surgeon for Cumberland University athletics, offering access to his skills and experience to over 600 collegiate athletes.
Education and Background
Dr. Bryant attended college at the University of MN on scholarship where he competed on both the track and cross country teams. After graduating from the University of Minnesota, he completed his medical school training at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA. His tenure there was marked with many academic honors and included receiving the highest academic honor in medical school when he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society (AOA). AOA is awarded only to select physicians who signify “lasting commitment to professionalism, leadership, scholarship, research, and community service”.
During his medical training, he was recognized not only for his academic achievements, but also for his humanitarian efforts. He helped with the founding of a free medical clinic (HOPES), was elected as president of the surgery club, and served as the student representative on the Human Values in Medicine Board.
His surgical training was completed at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Jefferson is nationally ranked by US. World News Report as one of the best in the nation for head and neck surgery and facial plastic surgery.
During his residency, he received several awards for both clinical performance and research. In addition to establishing himself as an excellent surgeon, he was extremely prolific as an academic. He authored two book chapters, published several papers, and was an invited speaker at meetings throughout the United States.
After residency, Dr. Bryant was selected out of a national pool of applicants to complete his fellowship in cosmetic and reconstructive facial plastic surgery with internationally renowned Andrew Jacono, MD, FACS.
As a facial plastic surgery fellow, Lucas continued to advance the field of cosmetic facial plastic surgery through authorship of several new landmark research papers and a textbook chapter on advanced methods in facelift techniques.
Practice Vision and Service
Patient safety and philanthropy are the true cornerstone values of Dr. Bryant’s practice. Dr. Bryant regularly committs a significant portion of his practice and efforts toward service through volunteering his time and experience on surgical mission trips. On these international trips, pro-bono surgery is offered to children and adults with limited medical and financial resources.
The most common surgical treatments performed include treatment of cleft lip, cleft palate, vascular deformities, scar and burn deformities, trauma (from assault and domestic abuse) and microtia (children born without an ear) reconstruction. Dr. When interviewed by a local newscast in Colombia regarding his thoughts on the experience as a surgeon on these missions, he replied, “I’m thankful for the patients and parents that trust us completely on these missions. They know we are there to give them the absolute best care we possibly can”.
Dr. Bryant is happily married with his wife, Erica and their three sons. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, running (he has run a 2:36 marathon), drumming, fishing, and kite-boarding.
