By the time a man or woman reaches age 40 and beyond, the aging process has really started to take a toll.
If your self-confidence is hindered by moderate-to-severe loose jowls, nasolabial folds, puppet lines, double chin, and/or sagging neck skin, it may be time to take a new approach. While minimally invasive treatments slow the signs of skin aging, Dr. Bryant’s advanced and customized surgical treatments offer natural rejuvenation options that are permanent and will help ensure you age with grace.
Facelift surgery has come a long way since years ago, but not all surgeons currently use the most advanced techniques. Modern facelift techniques involving the deep plane approach provide a refined result that looks far more natural than facelifts of the past.
Besides their natural appearance, the techniques employed by Dr. Bryant are also focused on creating a long-lasting result, ensuring your enjoyment of the rejuvenating benefits for many years to come. In many cases, these minimally invasive surgical techniques deliver more powerful and more natural results than non-surgical options.
Subtle changes in technique, paired with the latest advancements in scientific research, have allowed experienced facial plastic surgeons such as Dr. Lucas Bryant to create faces that age gracefully without looking tight or frozen. Dr. Bryant’s preferred facelift technique uses a minimally invasive deep plane facelift approach. This advanced facelift method is only performed by a few surgeons across the country and has been proven to offer natural results while being extremely safe and effective. Not ready for surgery? We offer a full suite of non-surgical skin tightening procedures in addition to facelift surgery.
Traditional SMAS facelift methods provide an impressive result that shaves years off a patient’s appearance. However, this approach sometimes has a less natural, “pulled” appearance, and may not last as long as the deep plane approach. Because of this, Dr. Bryant’s preferred approach for most patients is the advanced deep plane facelift technique.
By gently supporting the face and neck soft tissues, the procedure results in a more youthful appearance that looks incredibly natural. It provides a safe and long-lasting cosmetic improvement. As the results of a true deep plane facelift gain popularity in the media and within elite social circles, demand for this procedure has increased dramatically. Dr. Bryant’s method was developed during his fellowship training with the world-renowned celebrity facelift surgeon, Dr. Andrew Jacono. While many deep plane facelift surgeons operate on the same theory, their approaches and actual techniques are not the same. The deep plane facelift approach mastered by Dr. Bryant truly gives you a superior, safe, and long-lasting result, while minimizing recovery time and bruising.
The difference between a deep plane and an SMAS facelift is that the deep plane method keeps the skin and soft tissue muscle attached to the underlying fascia, reducing unnecessary tissue trauma during the procedure, and thus speeding healing.
The approach also gently releases areas of tension so that the facial tissues can be gently restored and re-positioned to their more youthful state without needing to use tight sutures and pulling. This is part of the “secret sauce” of this approach. No tension prevents the “pulled” or “windswept” look of botched facelifts or other facelift techniques. The results can look more natural as well.
For patients that don’t need a full facelift yet, mini-facelift surgery may be the recommended procedure. Small incisions are placed near the hairline, then the lower face skin is gently tightened.
This has a smoothening effect on the loose skin of the lower face and jawline. Patients can get an idea of the result by placing their fingertips on the face (close to the earlobe) and pulling the skin slightly toward the hairline. Fewer incisions are needed to complete the procedure; Therefore, mini facelift recovery is quicker than the average facelift downtime by at least a few days to a week.
While the deep plane facelift is the preferred method of treatment in many cases, Dr. Bryant is well trained in more traditional SMAS facelift methods.
This procedure mainly focuses on tightening the appearance of the jawline, upper neck, and lower face. It works by tightening the dense layer of connective tissue in the cheek that lies between the fat and muscle. This is contrary to the deep plane facelift, which tights both the connective tissue, skin, and muscle without separating them. Drawing on his years of experience in performing facelifts, Dr. Bryant will help match you with the best facelift technique for you, whether it be the SMAS facelift or deep plane facelift surgery. At the end of the day, it’s all about ensuring you have a great result.
Refine Facial Plastic Surgery and Aesthetics
Patients are usually thrilled with the result of facelift surgery, but there are times when other surgeons have failed to deliver a satisfactory final result.
A poor facelift result may be due in part to lack of specialized experience on the part of the surgeon, improper facelift technique selection, or miscommunication during the consultation process regarding the patient’s main cosmetic concerns and desired outcome.
If you have had a facelift in the past that did not meet your expectations, all hope is not lost. Thankfully, there is something you can do about it. For patients that have previously been treated by other surgeons, Dr. Bryant offers a personalized service to correct any facial aging or post-operative concerns you may have.
Additionally, patients that had a facelift more than a decade ago can benefit from a secondary facelift to maintain or touch up the results.
The results of a facelift take about 10 years or so off perceived age, however it does not stop the aging process. A second facelift provides the refresh a patient desires when aging catches up with them, keeping them looking young and well-rested once again.
